Beverly J. Smith Memorial Scholarship

The Beverly J. Smith Memorial Scholarship was established by the American Association of University Women’s Harrisburg Branch in honor of their president. Ms. Smith was nationally known and respected as an expert on refugee resettlement and immigration. She devoted her life to helping people of different nationalities to start new lives and obtain not only homes, health care, and legal advice, but also education.

The AAUW-Harrisburg Branch would like to honor her memory by awarding this scholarship to a woman working towards a Bachelor’s degree. They would especially want the award to be given to a woman who embodies Ms. Smith’s vision and beliefs.
