The Charles & Lucille King Family Foundation was established to support individuals, institutions, and organizations committed to educational excellence and professional development. In addition to the Foundation’s grant and scholarship program, the Foundation also provides support to various public and private charities and is active in supporting multiple media-related educational programs.
This Undergraduate Scholarship Award is given to outstanding junior and senior students studying television and film production and who demonstrate financial need, academic excellence, and professional potential.

Application Process:
1. Download the scholarship application form from the King Foundation website or try asking for one from your faculty or financial aid office. A copy of the application form can also be directly requested from:

2. Fill out the application form by answering the following sections: Applicant’s Educational Information; Institutional Information; Family Financial Information (optional); Applicant’s Financial Information; Awards, Activities, and Media Employment.
3. On a separate sheet, type a personal statement of no more than 2 pages which describes your goals and why you feel that furthering your education will help you accomplish these goals.
4. Provide at least three (3) letters of recommendation/support – One of the letters must come from your academic advisor, major professor, or other school official.
5. Include an official copy of your most recent transcript in an envelope.
6. Place all application requirements in an envelope and mail to:

Renewal Guidelines:
Junior scholar recipients will automatically be eligible for a scholarship in the same amount for their senior year. To qualify for a renewal, scholars must maintain a minimum of “B” average. Scholars are required to provide an official copy of their transcript no later than June 30 to verify their GPA.
