Crumley Roberts Next Step North Carolina Scholarships

 

Crumley Roberts, LLP was founded in 1989. The law firm represents individuals in the areas of personal injury, mass tort, drug injury, product liability, worker’s compensation and Social Security disability.

As a way of giving back to the community that they serve, Crumley Roberts, LLC initiated two scholarship programs (The Founder’s Scholarships and The Next-Step Scholarships) for North Carolina students who are aiming to obtain a degree from an accredited 4-year college or university. The Next-Step Scholarship awards $2,500 to North Carolina community college students who are transferring to a 4-year college/university in the fall to continue their post-secondary education.

Start of Application Period: October 15th
Deadline: February 14th
Announcement of Winners: On or before May 1st
GPA: At least 2.5 or better
Major: Students are not required to pursue a specific field of study
Eligible Students: North Carolina Community College Students who will be transferring to an accredited 4-year college/university within North Carolina.

Additional Requirements:

– Must not be related to any Crumley Roberts employee

– Must meet the minimum GPA requirement

Application Process:

1. Download and print the Next Step Scholarship Application Form from www.CrumleyRoberts.com.

2. Complete the application form by answering all the questions. Incomplete applications will not be considered by the scholarship committee.

3. Provide a certified copy of your academic transcript from the community college you are currently attending.

4. Include a letter of intent or acceptance from the accredited 4-year college or university you plan to attend.

5. Provide two (2) letters of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or other adults (not a family member) who is familiar with your academic achievements and/or extracurricular activities.

6. Be prepared to compose an original essay (1000 words or less) based on the following:
a. Please tell us what has made you decide to go to a 4-year college/university and explain why you think you should be one of the recipients of this scholarship award.
b. What types of experiences, challenges, and other factors made you decide to choose your educational path?

7. Submit all the application materials to:
