The Goss Michael Foundation was founded in June 2007 by recording artist George Michael and his partner Kenny Goss. The Foundation exists to educate, engage, and inspire audiences of all ages by showing them exhibitions of British Contemporary art, provide vast resources, educational programs, and scholarships to aspiring young artists.
The Goss Michael Foundation is extending a scholarship opportunity to young Texas high school seniors who have displayed exceptional artistic abilities and would wish to pursue a degree in fine arts. Since 2007, the Foundation has awarded over $90,000 scholarships to visual arts and music students. The award money is given in hope that it will help the students pay for the tuition and fee costs for higher education in the arts.
Amount: $5,000 plus the visual arts scholar will have one of his/her pieces of art framed and displayed at the Foundation and will be featured on the Foundation website and in a monthly newsletter.
