Nellie Martin Carman Scholarship Fund

The Nellie Martin Carman Scholarship Fund was founded in 1949 and is available to graduating high school seniors from public high schools in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties in the Washington State. This non-profit organization aims to help students achieve their educational goals by providing financial assistance to help pay for their post-secondary education.

This scholarship fund was named after Mrs. Nellie Martin Carman, who was a successful and highly admired businesswoman in Seattle. Mrs. Carman possessed a keen intellect, strong social conscience, and a deep devotion to her country. She showed her devotion to Washington State by requiring the scholars to attend schools within Washington.
